Melinda Mae Ramirez was truly blessed.  She was born on July 23, 1964 and departed this life to be with the Lord on April 6, 2013, after a courageous battle against cancer.

She is preceded in death by her loving father, Joe Melendez; father and mother-in-law, Alfonso, Sr. and Mary Ramirez.

Melinda leaves to be cherished in memory by her mother, Sabina Melendez of Bay City; husband, Alfonso Ramirez, Jr., whom she was married to for 24 long, loving years; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Rebeca Melendez of League City, Noel Gaines IV of Freeport, Alfonso III and Donna Ramirez of San Marcos; daughters, Priscilla Ramirez and Margaret Ramirez of San Marcos; grandchildren, Lizzette Torres, John and Gabriel Rodriguez, Jade Ramirez, Julian Ramirez, Angel and Damien Reyna, Chucky and Nini.

Funeral services were held at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Freeport.  Burial followed at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek.

Her smile and joy of life will be remembered and missed by many.
