Sherri died of an aneurysm in October, 1986, leaving her 11-month-old daughter, Kimberly, and orphan. She was the most wonderful friend and mother, and always had a smile. She was the sweetest person I knew. She died 3 weeks before her 21st birthday. She gave her daughter the middle name of Elyse because Sherri wanted to be the kind of mom that Elyse Keaton was on Family Ties. I think about her often, and miss her. Her mom was my confirmation sponsor when I was confirmed as a Catholic while attending SWT. Sherri was able to donate her organs after her passing, and even in death she helped 5 other people. That's the kind of person she was.
Sherri and I had our first child together just days apart, we were both seeing Dr. Ely in Bay City, many times we sat in his waiting room together. I was working with apparently her neighbor at Holiday Inn when she got the call about Sherri and left immediately, I was shocked when she told me who it was.....she always helped me my senior yr , she helped me pass Accounting.....Sherri did have a big heart, forever missed
