Jacqueline "Jackie" Valdez, 39, of Bay City passed away Friday, June 18, 2004. She was born November 23, 1964, in Bay City, the daughter of John and Julia Valdez.

Jackie was a 1984 graduate of Bay City High School and was a licensed cosmetologist. Jackie lived all of her life in Bay City, except for a short stay in Houston.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Jonathan Keith Lopez and daughter, Jessica Kay Lopez, two loving grandchildren, Mark Anthony Garza and Joel Rene Lopez; spouse, Jesse Quintanilla; aunts, Lupe Saldana and Husband Tony of Chicago, IL., Angie Lopez and husband, Jaime, Helen Paniagua and husband, Erasto, Mary Guajardo, Corina Cortez and husband David, and Mary Rose Cox and husband Roger; uncles Carlos Trevino and wife Lydia, Tony Trevino and wife Amelia, and Loy Valdez all of Bay City, Abel Trevino of Rockport, Jesse Trevino, Jesse Valdez and wife Val of Houston, and Lupe Valdez of Wharton.

She is also survived by her baptismal madrina, Aurora Mendiola, niece, Alexa of Bay City and numerous cousins, good friends, and other relatives.

Jackie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maria and Louis Herrera, Joe Trevino, Juan and Angelita Valdez, Julia Rodriguez Valdez, San Juana and Lorenzo Rodriguez, uncle, Amado Trevino and cousins Tony Herrera and Charles Trevino.
